    Default Second Chance

If you are out on a date and it hasn't gone well would you give that person a second chance? I think I may try again on the off chance that that person is having a bad day or something, what about you?

For me I believe in "first impression lasts"!

I wouldn't give her a second chance if the date went awry. She wouldn't have gone to our first date if she got a problem. I'd rather like her to cancel or postpone the date.

I may sound rude but this is just my opinion.

I'd have to agree with JamesP. If the first time didn't go well, why would you want to try again with a second date? That's why I like my first dates to be something like a lunch date. Less formal means less pressure.

I probably would give them a second chance depending on the circumstances and how sincere they were about them. Sometimes second chances can negate the entire first impression. This has happened quite a few times with me, so I am more open to giving them. Not to ruffle any feathers but I just get the idea that someone who is against second chances would want a divorce the minute something goes wrong in their marriage.

It depends on how they are, I mean why isn't it going well? Is there any chemistry at all? If not, then probably not. If it's just something silly like things aren't going as planned, then sure I'd give them another shot.

If its a random fluke where there is just a string of bad luck thats one thing but its another when it hits a different level when its something major. Say in the middle of dinner the person stands up and throws food on me, yes they are not getting a 2nd chance. :)
