When to meet the family?

If you're dating someone you really like and things are going well how long do you wait to bring him/her home? I used to be quick to do this, but I've stopped because it was making me look unstable to my family, lol. Now I don't think they'll meet anyone else until I'm finally engaged.

Wow! That is a long time to wait. I wouldn't wait that long. I am very close to my family and I would bring the person over when I felt comfortable. It's ok to date people, it is ok to be in relationships, not all of them will work out. It doesn't make you unstable.

I agree with lovely. i don`t see anything wrong with bringing your date to family functions. I also don`t think it makes you look unstable. Getting to know the other persons family helps a lot in getting to know him/her too.
