Dating somone of a different race
Personally I don`t date men other than Caucasian. But I do have friends that date other races. I don`t mind if that`s what they prefer. I just don`t like the hassle that goes with it. Comments from family or friends, things like that. I have met a few African American men that I would have liked to date. Why does society still have a problem with this? We are all people. I guess I am just as bad. I just don`t like being a target for rude comments ya know what I mean?

Many times over, people as a part rather than a whole are idiots. I have no preference for myself or others. I have dated many in the place that were not the exact same as me, but then sometimes you need a little more spice in life too.

If you like someone and they are good person and they treat you right, regardless of their race, I say go for it. Just ignore the comments as I can attest to you they are likely coming from fear and jealousy. Yes, jealousy because the people making the comments sometimes wish they had the courage you do to date outside of your race.

My sister dates black people all the time. She won't look at someone if they're not. It drives my dad nuts, but we figure that among my sisters and I, one of us will end up marrying a black man. I try not to date someone based on their race, but rather on whether or not I like them.

I don`t see a problem with it. It is becoming more accepted these days too. I don`t look at color or religion or disability. If I don`t like someone I have a very good reason.

Wow! I would figure now in 2009 (almost 2010) that race wouldn't matter. To me it does not matter! I would date whoever I hand an attraction for, I don't listen to other people. It's pretty sad there are so many shallow minded people in the world (if they make comments that you are dating another race).

It's unfortunate, but we all have our biases. There are certain ethnic groups that I'd never consider dating either while other ethnic groups really get my attention. Just part of being human and what we've learned.
