Default A little something on the first date?

What do you think about a little something on the first date? Since I'm a guy, I'd give a gal a flower or something, nothing big or fancy. Just kind of a simple way to starting the date off on the right foot...I hope.

I think that is a nice gesture and one as a woman that I would definitely appreciate! A guy that thought about this ahead of time would be different and stick out in my mind.

I agree with Colleen. I would appreciate something like that. Anything extravagant would probably freak me out, but I think flowers are always seen as a thoughtful idea.

See, when I got flowers, it definitely freaked me out a bit. It was with someone though who gave them to me with a very cheesy delivery line, so maybe that was the real problem.

Not too many men do that these days. It sounds very nice. It comes across to me that this guy is more into pleasing you than trying to impress you. It would probably lead to a second date for me. I would`t expect it on every date though.

I think that this sounds like a very kind thing to do as well. I wouldn't mind getting flowers or something like that on a first date. It's very thoughtful.

I seldom give flowers but I do give chocolates to my dates. I reserve giving flowers to special occasions like anniversaries and birthdays.

Anyway, what kind of presents do girls really like? I would like to know so that I could give these presents to my future dates.
