Has anyone here ever tried speed dating?

I would love to go to a speed dating event at least just to say I tried it once.

Has anyone here had any luck with speed dating? What was it like? Would you do it again?

I have tried speed dating it and was pretty fun as I have done it multiple times! The men usually rotate as the women sit. I often hear people asking lots of boring questions so I am a bit outrageous with mine and get a good response from many of the guys.

I am actually still chatting up a few of the fellas I met via multiple speed dating events. I would highly recommend it!

I've been speed dating as well. My sisters and I tried it together and had a ball. It was tons of fun, especially if you didn't take it too seriously. :D
I don't know that any of us ever had any matches though-- I sure didn't.

I have seen it on TV but I have never tried it. It looks like fun. I don`t know if they have anything like that in my town. I`m gonna check though. I never thought about trying it until I saw this thread lol.

Nope, not me! No way! I have a lot to say and I want the person to be able to talk to me longer than 3 minutes. I like to get to know someone, I don't think you can get to know someone at a speed dating event.

I haven't tried it but it looks like so much fun! The unusual questions is a good idea and something I would look for because I am the type of person who doesn't want the same thing as everyone else, I like to be unique!

I think the key to this is what Maggie said - don't take it too seriously.

There is a martini bar in my area that was doing this for a while and I went one time and immediately left when I saw the guys who had shown up. Yuck!

Lol@Psiren! Yea, that is one thing that makes me kind of wonder, but like you said at first, we are not supposed to be taking this too seriously, it's just for fun. So why did you leave?
