When The Right One Comes Along

I got this from a classic song. But my question is, how do you know if that person is the right one?

In the song, its telling someone who is already in a relationship but then the right one comes along. So the person doesn't know if he will stay with the present relationship or go with that new person that he perceives the right one for him.

I think sometimes people wait around to see if the person they met was the right one. The relationship might develop from a friendship or something like that.

I suppose you just know. That's what most people always say. However, with the high divorce rate, so many people have been wrong, I guess.

Then again, I think people can be happy with different types of people. We can't help who we like and fall in love with, but we can choose who we stay with because loving someone and making it work is a choice.

Trial and error?

Its really pure luck to find the right one for you. With millions and millions of people in the world, how will you ever know that the right one for you could be from the other side of the world?

For me, there is no such thing as "looking for the right person". My principle is "trying to be the right person for that someone". If it doesn't work then just move on.

I might be dreaming but I still believe there are people that match up perfect, maybe not just one, but one at that certain time in both parties lives. I have had this happen a good many times, the person was there for one reason or another and it was not always a sexual deal either.
