Qualities You Look For

What qualities do you look for when you are looking for someone to date or have a relationship with? My biggies are honesty, wanting to do something with their life, and someone who has the same values and morals as I do.

I believe it applies to both guys and girls. Your life partner must be honest and has goal in life. And most importantly, Drama and Scene free. He or she should be willing to compromise and understand the situation.

I like guys who are hard working and motivated yet very laid back in their off time. Tolerance for others and different situations is a biggie too. I don't want a guy who freaks over life's daily struggles. A sense of humor and the ability to laugh at himself are also important qualities.

I like ladies with open-minded thinking. That way we could try to understand each other easily. I read a passage that says, if you can't change the person, then just try to understand that person.

The other qualities must be honesty and caring. Honesty was explained by the others already. I really like to be cared for because I feel loved and comforted specially in times of sadness.

I think we all tend to look for the similar qualities in those we are searching for, the issue is sometimes people get too picky. I once dated someone who thought that the "ball and chain" started during courtship - boy was he mistaken! People need to have real things they are looking for but at the same time realize that you are not trying to make someone bend over backwards to appease you.

Boy, I couldn't agree with you more. I think for me the other addition would be honesty. Addicts tend not to be very honest, and I value that very much.
