Why is She Avoiding me after First Date?

This is pain but I have to ask you this why is she avoiding me after our first date. I know this girl from school. We got connected through friends and we have been friends for long time.

Then...here comes the twist, from common friends I got to know that she got a crush on me.... and in fact, I have the same feeling for her. We got this thing communicated through friend and then eventually we talked about it and give it a shot.

We planned a dinner a date, yes... a dinner a date at Signature Lounge on John Hancock building in Chicago downtown. Btw, I am from Chicago. It went pretty well.. but now from next day she has been avoiding me... kind of weird... not sure if she is really not into me after first date or what?

Is it because she is confused between "being friend" vs "being girl friend"?

This thing is killing me... i really like her... and would love to get settle with her..but this ignorance is awful...

help...give me your suggestion and dating tips...

It is very likely that she is not interested. Or even if she is interested she probably doesn't want to go further. She is scared that she will loose a good friend if things don't workout between you guys.

My advice, just move on or give her some time to think.

I agree with Leo. She is probably confused that she might loose a good friend. Dating a friend is always a challenge.
