That has got to be the absolute worst way to meet someone, at least according to my experiences. I don't get it why so many people continue to head out on a Friday night thinking they're going to find someone worth talking to the next day. It's just not a good idea to try to meet new people when you're in an altered state of mind.

I agree with you. I especially do not want to meet someone that is constantly at the bar every weekend either, however that is where there are most of the singles these days. Where would be good places to go do you think?

Yuck. I haven't met anyone worth meeting at the bar, ever. Mostly there are skeevy guys there who are not looking for a long term anything. Makes me shiver just thinking about it. I've meet a lot of neat folks at the rock-climbing gym. :D

[Ronnie]

I go out with my buddies a lot to the bar. We don't even bother looking for dates there. It's our guys night out events. I agree that bars are not the place to pick someone up.
