Dating after 50.
After turning 50 I started thinking about what would happen if I had to start dating again. It`s been a long time since I dated. Would it be hard to get back into the dating thing? I don`t like going to bars alone. And I tried online date sites. That didn`t turn out well. What would an older person like me do to find dates?

There is no age to date, as long as you are over 18 that is (for serious dating). Every person has their best way to find dates, some work for many but not for all. I would not be discouraged though, sometimes you find the person in the oddest of places.

I don't think age matters, because you are older you should be resigned to be by yourself? I don't think so! I think there are people out there your age who are alone and looking for a relationship as well. I think the best places to meet would be maybe doing something you are interested in such as sports, or hobbies that you can share.

Age doesn't matter. There are a lot of people out there who are seeking companionship. I say if you want to, go for it. Get out there and meet people. There's no age limit for dating so go have fun.

Are you in any clubs? That might be a place where you could meet someone. My father met my stepmother in online dating, and he's in his 60s.
I'm younger than 50, and I don't like going to bars either. I agree that doing activities where you meet people are best.
