Group dates

I always say you should go out with a group of friends for your first date. Does anyone like to group date? This way you can get to know the person in a fun environment. Plus there are other people there if you 2 aren't hitting it off.

That`s not a bad idea. You can get your friends advice afterwards too. Sometimes others may see things we don`t. I have done this a few times and it was fun. Even if you don`t end up wanting to date each other you still made another friend.

Sure why not. This way it's not all 1 on 1 and there are sure to be some laughs! I like the idea of getting your friends opinion too! I like group dates, hey if it works for teenagers it should work for adults too.

I think I have to disagree on this one. Group dates don't allow the focus to be where it should be - on each other and getting to know one another. Additionally, a group date typically centers around one set of friends - either his or hers - and it has the potential to make the other person feel uncomfortable. I don't see anything wrong with it after you've had a few dates alone, but for the first date I think it causes added stress and isn't a very date like atmosphere.
