I had just gone through a terrible knee surgery, with complications, resulting in my boredom from lying on the couch for two or three weeks.

So I decided to try something new and exciting. I put a free profile on Match.com while I waited for the emails to come pouring in. Even though I had not submitted a picture, I received several emails from local guys. For whatever reason, none of them really tickled my fancy until I heard from Kevin. I’m still not sure why, but he was the first one I decided to email back. It was just a hunch, I guess.

After communicating via instant messenger and telephone for a few weeks (and after I had somewhat recovered), I decided it was time to meet. He confided in me that I was his fifth and last attempt at finding someone special through Match.com, and I admitted that he was my first. To make a long story short, we hit it off, and we both took our profiles off after the third date. Now, we look forward to our wedding this Labor Day weekend, September 3, 2005.
